Gadhafi ordered mass rapes in Libya: ICC

Luis Moreno-Ocampo said he may ask for a new charge of mass rape to be made against Gadhafi following the new evidence.

There was evidence the Libyan authorities bought “Viagra-type” medicines and gave them to troops as part of the official rape policy, Moreno-Ocampo said.

“They were buying containers to enhance the possibility to rape women,” he said.
Fresh strikes hit Tripoli

Nato airstrikes rattled the Libyan capital on Thursday with clusters of bombing runs believed to have targeted the outskirts of Tripoli.

The intensity of the attacks suggested a return to the heavy Nato bombardment of the city on Tuesday that hit military installations across the capital and flattened major buildings in Gadhafi’s sprawling compound in the center of the city.
