Patients's relatives suffer as Ramdev undergoes treatment

They claimed that hospital authorities are not allowing them to meet their near and dear ones admitted to the Himalayan Hospital.

"My brother suffered serious injuries in an incident and was admitted to hospital three days back but since yesterday they have restricted our movement," said G C Chasol.

"They are even not allowing to take food and water inside. When I asked them the reason they said a VIP was undergoing treatment. For me my brother is a VIP.

"I feel government should do something in this regard," an upset Chasol said.
Ramdev, who was admitted to the Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, about 21 kms from here, last evening after his condition deteriorated  on the seventh day of his fast against corruption, was administered saline and glucose.

"I was a part of a pilgrimage going to Rishikesh from Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. The vehicle met with an accident. I am not even being allowed to get inside due as some VIP is being treated there," complained one Yogesh.

However, hospital administration denied these allegations and said that no such measures were being taken by them.

"It is not like that. We have not restricted anybody's entry. All relatives can meet their patients during visitors hours or as per hospital rules," said Dr Deepak Goel, neurologist at Himalayan Hospital.

However, there are many like Yogesh who feel stranded after Ramdev was brought in the hospital.

"My husband has severe stomachache and fever. He is admitted in general ward of the hospital but security personnel here have banned the entry and are not allowing anybody to get in," said 50-year-old Kaushal.
