Flowers, fruits, sweets seem to reign all the streets in the city. It is a boon time for the sellers. Due to very high transactions on M G Road and Sir M V Road the vehicular movement came to a stand still.
On this festival day, jewellery, money are kept along with fruits and flowers and are worshipped. Also, the kalasa will be decorated. The price of flowers generally reaches its peak during this festival. A kg of kanakambra costs Rs 600 and button flowers cost Rs 100!
