Minister's pre-dawn padayatra

Dr Kusuma was yet to report for duty, when the minister verified the attendance record during the padayatra. Earlier the minister who went around various localities in ward no 10 in Vidyaranyapuram and surrounding areas, falling under his own Krishnaraja Assembly constituency, found many anomalies and issued instructions on the spot.

 He asked Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (Cesc) Limited to replace the electricity poles at the ward that have already developed cracks at places. He also told the engineer concerned to repair the transformer. The minister also issued directions to the authorities concerned to widen Sarvajanika Hostel Road from Andani Circle up to the hostel, followed by construction of sulab toilets at 16th cross in Vidyaranyapuram to facilitate shopkeepers and also a parking facility. When it was brought to the notice of the minister that the irregular KSRTC bus service has put  people into trouble, he (Ramdas) directed the divisional controller, KSRTC (urban division), to increase the bus services. 

According to the locals, bus route number10 was reduced to one against the existing two putting those depending on the public transport in a fix.  He also announced that he has sanctioned Rs four lakh from MLA Local Area Development fund towards the construction of kitchen, toilet and dining hall at Dr B R Ambedkar Community Hall, Rs two lakh for Sharada Shankara Community Hall and Sri Subramnaya Temple Trust.

The minister who took stock of the fragile trees in the ward, instructed assistant director of Horticulture, MCC to remove the same at the earliest to prevent any untoward incidents from happening in the future.

Area corporator Muralidhar Jetty, corporator of ward six M V Ramprasad, MCC superintendent  N R Vijay, ACP (Krishnaraja) and N Vishnuvardhan accompanied the minister on the occasion.
