CET counselling: 108 students shape their dreams

“I had always dreamt of becoming a doctor. Though I hail from Sakleshpur, I pursued my PUC in St Aloysius. I had to work hard and now I feel my efforts have paid off,” he said.

As many as 108 students saw their dreams turn true at the CET counselling (Medical and Dental) orgainsed at Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management on Monday.

The counselling session on Monday counseled the first 1,500 rank holders across the seven centers of the state. In Mangalore centre the counseling started from Rank 24.

Most of the students got an opportunity to select the college they want, though the general merit seats were filled up within the 800th rank.

Speaking to Deccan Herald Mangalore CET Coordinator Shruthakeerthiraja said that the counseling will take place in four batches.

The 1 to 400 ranks are placed in 8 am batch followed by 401 to 800 placed at 10 am batch, 801 to 1200 at 1 pm batch and 1201 to 1500 are placed in 4 pm batch.
The Counselling Process involves four steps like Registration, Document Verification, Allotment and Payment of DD and receiving Admission Order.

The students who were present in the counseling could also witness other rank holders being placed across the seven centers through a LCD projection.

Students up to rank number 3800 will be counselled on June 21. Students from Rank 3801 till the last rank will be counseled on June 22.

Counseling for Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy and yoga will be organised
