Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy held a meeting with Revenue Minister N Raghuveera Reddy, Endowments Minister (in charge) Ponnala Lakshmaiah and senior officials tonight and discussed about the Satya Sai Trust affairs and allegations about siphoning of its funds.
"We have decided to seek a detailed report from the Trust about its activities in the light of the allegations," Lakshmaiah told reporters here after the meeting.

Based on the report, the government would take necessary action, he said. The meeting was held after opposition parties as well as some Congress leaders demanded the government's intervention in the Trust affairs to prevent diversion of cash and other wealth.

The Sai Trust came under a cloud following a seizure of Rs 35 lakh cash from a car belonging to the Sai Trust. It was alleged that the money was being diverted from Prasanthi Nilayam, the abode of late Satya Sai Baba.

The Anantapur district police issued notices to Trust members R J Ratnakar and V Srinivasan as part of the investigation into the case.

The Income Tax Department also reportedly sought information from police about the cash seized.
