But he was in no hurry as he wanted to take some time out and work on a storyline that he had never done before. And recently, he announced his next venture, Ko...Ko... The Game of Love. “I didn’t want to play it safe by doing something that had already given me success. I knew that there would be a lot of expectations from me especially after Mylari. So this time around, I want to create some curiosity around the storyline. But one thing is for sure, it’s going to be a complete family entertainer,” Chandru tells Metrolife.

The very name of the film has already generated immense curiosity. Speaking about the title, Chandru says, “Ko...Ko...The Game Of Love is actually the abbreviation of kothi (monkey) and koli (hen). I wanted something catchy and I think we have made a lot of heads turn with this one.”

Starring Srinagara Kitty and Priyamani in the lead, shooting for the film has already started in the City. The unit will soon move on to Sakkaleshpura, Mandya and other parts of the State. The lead pair has gone through a complete makeover for the film. While one can see Kitty in an all new avatar wearing bright coloured clothes that match the loud character he is playing, Priyamani has been asked to shed a few kilos. “Her character is that of a very modern, high class girl so I requested her to lose some weight before the shoot. I was so happy that she actually took it up and has lost six kilos already. As for Kitty, I want to show him in a whole new light. He is an out-and-out playboy in the movie and a total opposite of the character he played in Sanju Weds Geetha,” adds
Chandru.

One of the highlights of the film is Telugu actor Srihari, who is known for his performances in films like Magadheera and Brindavanam. Srihari is coming back to Kannada films after long but Chandru says that he will be playing an interesting character. Though the film is being shot as a Kannada film, Chandru says that he plans to dub in Tamil and Telugu. “I want to release it in Kannada first and then talks are on for releasing it in Telugu and Tamil as well,” he signs off.
