The protestors shouted slogans against the UPA government and urged to bring back black money from the Swiss banks. They also urged the government to pass Lokpal Bill in the Parliament to put an end to corruption in the country.

Prime Minister should be brought under the purview of the Lokpal Bill. If Prime Minister is not included, then Lokpal Bill will lose its real purpose, the protestors added.
Speaking on the occasion, BJP Mahila Morcha General Secretary Sumana Sharan said “corruption has spread its wings all over from village to the national level. According to a survey, the amount collected through illegitimate means may be Rs 1,00,000 crore.

Commission is collected while laying a road at the village level and other development works in the country. The tax is evaded in the country by the rich.”

She said “poor are made to remain poor. In spite of country having the capacity to become a developed country, we are still a developing country owing to the rampant corruption in the country. The black money should be brought back from Swiss banks and it should be declared as national asset. The black money should be utilised for the development of the country.”

The Congress is exploiting the poor and making them scapegoat of vote bank politics, she charged.

Coming down heavily on UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, she said “Sonia Gandhi is like queen bee whose acts are protected by other Congress leaders. The Congress tried to supress the protest by Anna Hazare and Baba Ramdev who were protesting against the corruption in the country.”

Balbhavan Society President Sulochana Bhat, Deputy Mayor Geetha Nayak, Corporator Roopa Bangera, Zilla Panchayat former president Sushma Janardhan, BJP President Padmanabha Kottary were present on the occasion.
