Priest's murder: No arrests so far

                
Speaking to Deccan Herald, Circle Inspector Gangi Reddy said the post mortem report is expected in three to four days. “We are also collecting information from the localites. No one has been arrested so far,” he said.

Meanwhile, the body of the priest was kept at Kutrupady for some time, where a large number of public paid their last respects. Later, the body was taken to Kannur. The funeral will be held on Saturday.

The priest’s body was found lying by the roadside on Thursday morning by a passerby.

Driver killed in mishap

A jeep driver was killed when the jeep in which he was driving turned turtle at Kollamogra shivala in Subrahmanya on Friday.

According to police, the deceased has been identified as Gangadhar. A case has been registered.

Man held

Police arrested a person for possessing 2.1 kg ganja worth Rs 50,000, at service bus stand on Thursday. According to police, the arrested is Saragappa, a native of Bagalkote.
