Work for humanity, doc tells students

Speaking at the inauguration of Prof N Sridhar Shetty annual endowment lecture at A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences in Deralakatte here on Saturday, he said “most loved people in my life are my students. My students have ventured into a novel programme of instituting an endowment lecture in my name which is highly appreciable. Students’ love and affection is my asset.” 

In his presidential address, Nitte University Chancellor N Vinay Hegde said Prof N Sridhar Shetty who has been serving A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences since its inception is an exceptional personality. He is a person with full of love and affection. The rural centres of the A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences are the brain child of Prof N Sridhar Shetty. He moulded the students to become good citizens, dentists and guided them in their life.  z

Saveetha Dental College, Chennai, Emeritus professor in Prosthodontics Prof E G R Solomon delivered a lecture on “Temporomandibular joint in health and in dysfunction.’ 

He said in spite of all the care and effort in the management of Temporomandibular joint dysfunction, it is sometime difficult to resolve the condition.” 

Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences Head of the department of Community Dentistry Dr Jithesh spoke on “Concept and vision of Prof N Sridhar Shetty—An insight.”
