Based on a report that appeared in Deccan Herald on Saturday, the BBMP Commissioner Siddaiah has directed the Technical Vigilance Cell Commissioner (TVCC) to investigate the case. The report detailed the way rules were flouted to benefit contractor Munirathna in 2009.
He is now Yeshwanthapur corporator. The Commissioner said he was shocked to know the way the rules were manipulated. “We will not spare anyone who has deceived the Palike.
We will ensure that the guilty are punished,” said Siddaiah. The TVCC had been asked to inquire into the matter and submit its report about the irregularities that had taken place in the Major Roads Department.
