5 incidents of robberies

Manjula, a resident of HSR Layout sixth phase, stated in a complaint to police that the suspect engaged her in a conversation on the pretext of asking for an address. Before she could answer, he snatched her chain and fled.

In another incident in Tilaknagar on Tuesday night, two unknown persons robbed a private company employee of his gold chain and a debit card when he was returning home from work. Anil Kumar, the victim, got down at Jal Bhavan office from a bus and was walking to his house when the suspects followed him on a bike. They attacked him with a helmet, robbed him and fled.

On Tuesday, around 4.45 pm, in the Banashankari area, an unidentified motorist robbed a college girl of her gold chain and absconded. The incident took place on 19th cross, Padmanabhanagar when Jyothi Reddy, a resident of Chikkallasandra, was on her way to a tuition class. 

A passenger became a victim of chain snatchers at Kempe Gowda bus stand on Tuesday night. Hanuman Prasad Tiwari lost his gold chain as he was trying to get into a bus. In Kalasipalya, a person diverted the attention of Syed Sadique and decamped with his bag kept inside his car on Tuesday night near Urvashi theatre.

The suspect told him that fuel was leaking from his car. When Syed got down from the car, the suspect snatched the bag and fled. The bag contained important documents like his passport and some cash according to the complaint.
