JOIN USRs 1.83 crore, 42 lakh more than the previous year, was raised by corporates and individuals during the World 10K, it was announced here on Thursday.
“This is hugely encouraging and just shows how much Bangalore actually cares,” Murray Culshaw, chairman of Bangalore Cares, the official charity partner of the World 10K, said.
IR Permumal, principal secretary of Department of Youth Services Sports, however, was disappointed with the amount raised.
