One body has been recovered so far, while the remaining seven are still missing in the tragedy that struck at around 12.30 am last night, Deputy Commissioner, Kullu B N Nanta said, adding that all the victims were construction workers engaged in the ongoing Rohtang Tunnel project.
Nearly 130 labourers were living in as many 30 to 35 temporary houses, out of which 22 managed to survive with minor injuries, he said.
Massive search operations have been launched and an alert has been sounded up to the nearby Larji Dam to search the missing labourers, Nanta said.
