Avoiding media glare, Janardhana and Karunakara Reddy, along with their close associate and Cabinet colleague, B Sriramulu, had a low-key meeting with Chief Minister Yeddyurappa at the latter’s residence, to discuss the fallout of the Lokayukta report.
According to the Karnataka Lokayukta Act, the chief minister is the competent authority to act on the recommendation by the Lokayukta against a minister.
However, with Yeddyurappa being indicted by the Lokayukta along with the Reddys, it is now a case the judge and accused both being in the dock.
