Celebrating sibling bondage...

The members of the Brahmakumari Vishwavidyalaya, Patanjali Yoga Shikshana Samithi celebrated Raksha Bandhan, by tying rakhis to various important personalities, police, prisoners, to spread the message of peace, brotherhood and communal harmony.

All the brahmakumaris and brahmakumaras tied rakhis on the hands of the journalists at their branch office on Antargange Road and later on, arrived at the Parade Grounds and tied rakhis to the police. Sweets and fruits were distributed on the occasion.

Apart from them, members of the Patanjali Yoga Shikshana Samithi also tied rakhis to the prisoners at the Central Jail, located in the Fort area. The prisoners were extremely happy and were swept by emotions. Sweets were distributed on the occasion.

The members prayed for their early release and a better life for the prisoners and expressed that they should be given better opportunities to shape up their lives. “The prisoners might have committed crimes, owing to various reasons and mental pressures, they should be inspired to lead a good life and mould themselves into good personalities,” the Committee members expressed.
