Speaking to presspersons after welcoming President Prathibha Patil, he said: “I have knowledge of loopholes in the present system of examination.”
“It would be better, if the experienced teachers, parents and students send their suggestions over suitable examination system,” he added.
Over 500 schools in the State do not have minimum of 5 students. Such students are enrolled to the nearby schools and are given transportation cost. Owing to the shortage of resources, government is not closing the schools.
Allowance
He said government will take a decision to provide mountain allowance (giri bhathye) to the teachers serving in Koppa, Sringeri and Mudigere taluks. The demand to extend the facility to some schools in Chikmagalur and Narasimharajapura will also be considered, Kageri added.
