JOIN USTrain number 08003 departs from Howrah at 4.10 pm on Fridays and arrives in Mysore at 5 am on Sundays. In the return direction, train number 08004 will depart from Mysore at 12.30 am on Mondays (from August 8) and will arrive at Howrah at 2.50 pm the next day. The last train will depart from Mysore on September 12, a press release said.
Librarians meet today
Karnataka State College Librarians Association is organising a meeting on August 7 at Maharani’s Science College for librarians of first grade colleges including private, aided and government to discuss academic issues faced by librarians. The meeting is organised by collegiate education department and invites librarians from Hassan, Mandya, Chamarajanagar, Kodagu and Mysore to participate.
Birds of Gujarat
The Gangothri unit of the Youth Hostels Association of India in Mysore is holding a lecture and slideshow programme on ‘Birds of Gujarat’ by Sahana, a naturalist, on August 7 at 6.30 pm at the Samudaya Bhavan (Tengina Topu) at Saraswathipuram, says a press release.
