‘Sri Sai Ram Juice & Chats’ is worth a visit as nowhere else can you get 60 varieties of chaats. Some of the signature dishes here are Sai Ram Special, Chips Masala, Hong Kong Chaats, Ting Tong, Crazy Chaats and Kiss Masala.

Apart from regular chaats like Pani Puri, Masala Puri, Dahi Puri and Bhel Puri, the shop offers tempting snacks like Nippat Masala, Disco Chaat, Samosa Chaat, Bowl Masala, Coke Masala and others. With its diversified menu, the place is also popular for the quantity and quality of its food.

With 20 years of experience in the hotel business, R Mahesh, the proprietor, keeps on experimenting with the dishes. “Ninety five per cent of our customers are college students. As they want variety, I invented some dishes and also did little variations with a few items. Thankfully, my clients received all the chaats wholeheartedly and even helped me in naming them,” he says. He adds that he plans to introduce 100 varieties of chaats soon.

One can’t miss the ever smiling face of Mahesh who is always nice to his customers. As most of the customers are regular ones, he recognises them immediately with a hearty smile. If you are new to the shop, he even helps you decide what you want to eat.

Thanks to the skillful hands of Venky (Venkatesh), the main chef, the customers need not wait for long. With great energy and enthusiasm, he prepares the items in a few seconds. “I have been working here for eight years and am specialised in making Sai Ram Special, Chips Masala, Hong Kong Chaats, Ting Tong, Crazy Chaats, Kiss Masala
and other items,” he says.

Fresh juices and milkshakes are also available here. The young crowd from all over the City rushes to the shop just to savour the tasty chaats. Bhavana, a student of SKIT, Hesaraghatta, who comes here with friends, says that the shop is quite popular in North Bangalore. “We have been visiting the place for the last two to three years. The prices are very reasonable. We prefer to have Bowl Masala, Crazy Chaats and Coke Masala which are very tasty. Moreover, the weird names attract us a lot,” she says.

Mahesh adds that Puneeth Rajkumar regularly visits the shop while Upendra had come here six months ago. The shop opens at 10 in the morning and closes at 10 in the night on all the days. ‘Sri Sai Ram Juice & Chats’ undertakes outdoor catering also. For details, call 9449880933.
