The court has sent the accused to judicial custody.
The accused are said to have been stealing construction material from the premises of the Jain Community Hall on the outskirts of the town.
They had been allegedly involved in the theft since July 2010 and had stolen goods worth Rs one lakh.
The duo admitted to the theft and have been identified as Sathish and Manjunath of Aduvalli in Hassan taluk.
