“The work around roll out of mobile payment services in the city and other places was completed some time ago,” said Obopay’s Senior Vice President and global head of product management Gaurav Zutshi.
The company’s foray into mobile payment started five years ago with the prepaid instrument that allowed customers preload their money. With transactions such as mobile recharge and transferring smaller amounts between persons, this became a successful business model for the company, Zutshi said.
