Speaking to Deccan Herald, Air India Express Station Manager Chellam Prasad said that the AIE made all arrangements to accommodate all the 158 passengers in City hotels. “As the snag could not be repaired till August 7 noon, the passengers were flown in a separate flight at 4 pm on August 7,” she said.
Meanwhile, the Mangalore - Dubai flight which was supplosed to land at 6.30 am, had to be diverted to Calicut due to bad weather and poor visibility in Mangalore airport. “The flight later arrived at Mangalore at 9.45 am,” she said.
Yet another Dubai bound Air India Express flight was delayed by one hour due to poor visibility, she added.
