The bash was attended by the bigwigs from the Kannada film industry. It was a memorable day for the cast and crew of the film as they were all honoured on the occasion.
Starring Puneeth Rajakumar, Srinagar Kitty, Yogesh, Radhika Pandit and Abhinaya in the lead, the film is a remake of the Tamil film Nadodigal and is produced by Parvathamma Rajkumar under the banner ‘Sri Chakreshwari Combines’. It is directed by K Madesh.
The cast and crew of the film, including the unit boys, were honoured by the celebrities. The members of Rajakumar family were in full attendance. Producer Rockline Venkatesh, KFCC president Munirathna Naidu, KCN Chandrasekhar, Basanthkumar Patil, director Suri, music director Gurukiran and actors Ajay Rao, Anu Prabhakar, Sudharani, Jayanthi, Jai Jagdish, Vijayalakshmi Singh, Ramesh Aravind, Haripriya, Ragini and Tharun distributed the mementoes.
Director S K Bhagawan, producers Chinnegowda and Govindaraju were also felicitated on the occasion. The day was very special for Raghavendra Rajakumar as he turned 47 on the same day. He cut a cake with the family members.
Actors Anu Prabhakar, Ajay Rao and Harshika Poonacha expressed their willingness to act under the banner of ‘Vajreshwari Combines’ (home banner of Rajkumar family). Ajay Rao said, “I missed a chance to act in Hudugaru, but I am happy that I could make it for the 100th day celebration. One should learn from ‘Vajreshwari Combines’, how to make a movie as it has given many hits to the industry.”
Actress Jayanthi confessed that she is a fan of Puneeth Rajkumar and likes his dancing style. Parvathamma Rajkumar thanked everyone for their love and support. “I would like to thank everyone who supported us in making Hudugaru a grand success. I expect the same kind of love and co-operation in our future endeavours,” she said.
Actress Haripriya said that she liked the movie a lot and had performed to the Pankaja song at many events. Singer Anuradha Bhat and V Harikrishna sang Pankaja song with a little alteration in the lyrics.
Director Guruprasad, who had written dialogues for ‘Hudugaru’, asked for a chance to direct or write dialogue again for Vajreshwari Banner. The lead actors Puneeth Rajakumar, Yogesh, Radhika Pandit and director Madesh were honoured in the end.
Srinagara Kitty who was busy in a shoot could not make it to the celebration.
