The meet which was postponed fromDecemeber 2009 to January 2010 is said to be held on January 11 and 12 according to the Karnataka Udyoga Mitra website.

“The move to hold such a meet is borrowed from the success story of Gujarat, and we are confident that we will receive good response,” Nirani told Deccan Herald.

He said that the government has formed various task forces to carry out operations to make the event a success — with Karnataka Udyoga Mitra playing the lead role. Further, the State is in consultation with various industry bodies and vision groups targetting value addition and participation.

We have already got good response from various non-resident Indians (NRIs) and some of the foreign firms, Nirani said, adding that government is going with a lower projection keeping recession in mind — even as feedbacks from vision groups and industries project over Rs 4 lakh crore.
