Hanging bridge at Kanive opened

Speaking on the occasion, Malnad Area Development Board President Padmanabha Bhat said hanging bridge at Kanive provided connectivity to Kodagu and Mysore.

The hanging bridge at Kanive has increased the beauty of the region.

It will also increase the number of devotees visiting Ramalingeshwara temple. The foundation was also laid for the construction of a hanging bridge at Theppadakandi near Guddehosur on the occasion.

MLA M P Appachu Ranjan said with the completion of the hanging bridge at Kanive, the long pending demand of the people of the region has been fulfilled. The bridge will be of great helpful to the students. The bridge was completed within two and half month.

Hanging Bridge Expert Girish Bharadwaj was felicitated on the occasion. Malnad Area Development Board Secretary Smitha Bijjur said hanging bridges provide connectivity to the villages. Zilla Panchayat Vice-President H M Kaveri said measures should be taken to lay a park near the bridge. Zilla Panchayat President Shantheyanda Ravi Kushalappa also spoke.
