He was speaking after inaugurating the zonal-level Pratibha Karanji" (cultural competitions for schoolchildren) organised by the Department of Public Instruction as part of the Sarva Shikshana Abhiyan, at Lakshmipur in Srinivaspur taluk on Sunday.
He suggested the teachers to use the programme to inculcate patriotism and to create intrest about Indian art and culture among the childrens.
President of Taluk Primary School Teachers’ Association H C Nagaraj presided over the function. He suggested the parents and teachers to encourage the childrens to involve in the extracurricular activities along with the academic activities.
GP President Narasimhappa, teachers C V Shivanna, Mahesh and others spoke on the importance of academic and extracurricular activities in the students life. Students presented various cultural programmes. Manjunath, CRP B S Sambhamurthy, Ranjitha and others were present.
