Society's deputy director Jagadeesh said, "The reason for such high participation could have been due to advanced publicity to the event. While, 80 per cent of the participants are from Bangalore, the rest are from other parts of the state. A total of 803 people participated in Ikebana, vegetable carving and other floral arrangements Lalbaugh Botanical Garden on Saturday. The prize distribution ceremony for the show will be held on August 14.

Sparsha S, who is a regular at the Horticulture flower show and the flower arrangement show, said that flower arrangement and vegetable carving were different from last year's show. "The flower arrangement is better this time with new ideas on display," she said.

Sister Beena and Sister Ramya were in awe of the vegetable carving display. "This is the first time we are coming for this show. The main display in Horticulture show was also different this time. However, the vegetable carvings were very beautiful as I didn't even think those were vegetables," said Sister Ramya.
