Advocates irritated with crowds

Last Updated 07 September 2011, 18:39 IST

Former MLA and advocate K N Subba Reddy, who has already appealed to the Chief Justice to shift the venue, said: “The two former chief ministers appearing before the court are accompanied by their followers. This is sufficient to draw crowd of curious onlookers. Apart from them, clients who come to the court also flock here, not to mention the media.”
Reddy complained that the place was so crowded that many advocates were struggling to go to other courtrooms as even the corridor was buzzing with people.

Referring the Supreme Court order to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalitha to appear before the special court, Reddy said the situation would get worse in the days to come.
He added that the police deployed to ensure that no untoward incidents occur during the VIPs’ visit have also been restricting the movement of advocates.
