DC to keep vigil on works executed by Nirmiti Kendra

Addressing a special meeting held to review the works executed by Nirmiti Kendra in the district, at Old Fort hall on Thursday Deputy Commissioner Dr N V Prasad told Nirmiti Kendra and other departments to not accept the work if it is beyond their capacity.

“The works undertaken by Nirmiti Kendra will be reviewed every month henceforth. If at all the work is not implemented properly within December, then appropriate action will be taken in this regard. Kendra, having only two officers at present including the Project Manager, takes up work worth Rs 20 crore every year. Therefore, as per the decision taken in the previous meeting, three diploma holders in civil engineering will be hired on contract basis,” he said.

He requested the Nirmiti Kendra, Mysore chief Manjunath to lend helping hand in recruiting the eligible candidates.

District Social Welfare Department officer Rajesh G Gowda informed that work worth Rs 4.5 crore related to his Department is yet to begin.

Integrated Tribal Development Programme Officer Ganeshappa requested the DC to take action regarding quick completion of construction work of Ekalavya Residential School in Balugodu.

The DC warned of stringent action against the Nirmiti Kendra officers for not attending the meetings and not accepting the notices.
