Award function in memory of Ramanna

Speaking at a press meet in Mandya on Thursday,  DCP Ravikanthegowda, son of Ramanna said the collection of stories ‘Mana’ written by Dr Yallappa Kekepura has won the award for the year 2010.

High Court judge H N Nagamohan Das will present the award on the occasion. The award carries a cash price of Rs 20,000, plaque and certificate.

A 600-pg book ‘Kanaja’, a collection of novels written by Ramanna, will also be released by novelist K Sathyanarayana. The book comprises 48 stories, one short story, he said and added Dr C P Nagaraju will speak about the book.

Popular Hindustani vocalist Fayaz Khan and troupe will present a programme on the day at 4 pm. Ramanna pratishtana president Dr K Puttaswamy, D P Rajamma, wife of Ramanna and others will participate, he added.
