<p>B Venkat Pratap, Manager of Sri Lakshmi Talkies, was arrested under Section 304-A of IPC (causing death by negligence) and a police party has been sent to arrest theatre owner P Nageswara Rao who is still at large, Parvathipuram ASP Ravi Krishna said.<br /><br />Five people were electrocuted and 11 others sustained burns following a stampede near the ticket booking counter as desperate fans jostled against one another to buy tickets for the newly released Telugu film “Magadheera” starring megastar Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan Teja.<br /><br />“The fans came in contact with a live wire near the window of the booking counter and got electrocuted,” the police officer said.<br /><br />Meanwhile, Panchayat Raj Minister Botsa Satyanarayana visited those undergoing treatment at Government Hospital in Vizianagaram and consoled the family members of the deceased.<br /><br />The Minister provided an immediate relief of Rs 5,000 each to the victim’s kin and also announced an ex-gratia payment of Rs 50,000 under the Apath Bandhu Scheme.</p>
