Killer chops lover's body into pieces to cover his tracks

Thirty- year-old Irfan, the culprit, however, fell into the police net after he continued to use the cell phone of his lover, which had been put on surveillance by the police after her family had lodged a missing report.

Irfan had an affair with Farhat Fatima but their relations had come under strain for the past few days.

Irfan, however, insisted on marrying Farha. The girl, according to police, was not inclined to marry Irfan.

Deadly plan

Enraged over her refusal, Irfan decided to eliminate Farhat and called her to his house a few days ago and strangled her to death after she once again refused to marry him. In a bid to destroy all evidence, Irfan chopped Farhat’s body, packed them in plastic bags and then threw them at different places. Irfan also pretended to look for Farhat after her family lodged a missing report with the police on Tuesday last. He also sent a text message to Farhat’s father stating that she had been abducted and would be released only after a ransom was paid.
