Anna flays Jaitapur land acquisition

“Nobody has any right to take away land from the people without their consent. People’s wish and will is supreme, ” Hazare said.

Talking to newspersons after a two-day meeting with key members of India Against Corruption (IAC) group at his Ralegan Siddi village in Ahmednagar, Hazare stressed the importance of self-governing bodies and gram sabhas in land acquisition issues.

“Without the permission of gram sabhas, nobody has any right to evict people from their land. Nobody has any right to take over the community land also,” he said.
