CD circulation. There was also talk of a CD in circulation in Jodhpur, allegedly containing Water Resources Minister Mahipal Maderna and a Congress MLA Malkhan Singh (Luni) in a compromising position with the missing ANM. Mahipal Maderna is also the son of veteran Congress leader Parasuram Maderna.
It was also alleged that the clip was floated by the ANM, who also has acted in many Rajasthani music albums, to blackmail the minister.
Teams of Rajasthan police have been searching for the missing ANM for the last two weeks, including in the neighbouring states of UP and Madhya Pradesh, after her husband lodged a missing complaint on September 3.
The police also announced a reward of Rs 4000 to the informants, who could help in the investigation. The police have so far arrested three people in this connection.
Husband’s version
According to her husband Amarchand in Jodhpur, the ANM who was posted at the sub-centre in Borunda of Bilara tehsil, had left home on September 2 to collect the payment of a car she had sold to one PHED contractor Sohan Ram Bishnoi and did not return. Sohan Ram is now in police remand.
About the CD, he said the minister was in touch with his wife. However, he added, “I had not seen the compact disk but only heard about it from others”.
Jodhpur IG Umesh Misra said: “We are inquiring all angles including the CD and the police are questioning the two arrested youth.”
Youths arrested
The police arrested two youth on September 11 at Ramgarh-Shekawati in Sikar district and in Churu.
The youth arrested from Ramgarh told the police that the ANM was killed by contract killers in Jhansi. However, the police team which went there could not recover the body.
