The Palike’s Chief Health Officer (CHO), Dr L T Gayathri said that the health centres and Palike dispensaries were receiving a lot of suspected cases.

“Currently all the 113 medical facilities are assisting in screening the people who are coming in with complaints,” she said.

Patients are only being screened at these Palike centres.

“We are following the Government guidelines and referring the patients to RGICD, Victoria and a other private hospitals,” she added.

However, the Palike distributed Tamiflu tablets free of cost to nearly 57 cases.

According to the Chief Health Officer, the drug was available in sufficient quantity with the Palike.
