He recollected that being a mischievous boy he got caned frequently in Canara high school and had to drop the ambition of pursuing higher education when he was refused seat in the college. “Today I have shared seats with PU college Principal and Degree college principal due to my film Asal,” he said.

He made a passionate appeal to students on not to inflict any mental agony  to their teachers. He made a similar appeal to teachers on not to ignore mischievous students and to accept them as an integral part of the class.

Canara First Grade College Principal Prof G N Bhat presiding over the programme said the college had initiated as many as 27 certificate courses in order to boost the confidence of students. The college management also would not spare any expenses in order to ensure that more number of students get an opportunity to display their talents.
Association convenor Prameela said FAA had made a good beginning by sweeping most of the prizes. The association has received invitations to perform in Kerala, Hassan and Lakshwadeep islands, she informed.
