Speaking to reporters during an election campaign for a Congress candidate, he said: “Pakistan’s confession and claiming five out of the ten bodies in the 26/11 attack has vindicated India’s stand on the issue.”
Quelling fears of further racial attacks on Indians ‘Down Under’, Krishna said: “Following the assurance from the Australian government, I hope that there will be no further attacks on Indians,” he said.
On the new US ambassador to India, Timothy J Roemer, taking charge in Delhi, the minister hoped that the bilateral relations between the two nations will grow further. “The Indo-US relations have been stable and fruitful over the past years. With the new appointment it will further strengthen our relations,” he said.
