Eshwarappa to urge Prez to limit Guv's powers

Speaking to mediapersons here on Sunday, he said the Governor has exceeded his limitations by summoning the Opposition party leaders to Raj Bhavan to discuss about their allegations.

Commenting on the Forest Minister C P Yogeeshwar’s alleged involvement in Mega City scandal, Eshwarappa said the Opposition leaders have been making baseless allegations against the BJP ministers for the past three years. But, their allegations have remained only charges and the BJP leaders haven’t been found guilty yet.

Former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy was pretending like Satya Harishchandra (known for upholding truth) till recently. However, both Kumaraswamy and his wife Anitha Kumaraswamy are frequently visiting the court over illegal granting of a mining lease and obtaining a site in return for favouring a housing society.

Exuding confidence of winning the Koppal bypoll, he said BJP candidate Karadi Sanganna’s victory was decided the moment he embraced BJP by quitting JD(S). The State government’s pro-people programmes and the honest efforts of the party workers would bring victory to the BJP in Koppal, he added.
