JOIN USRavi Kumar, 27, was admitted to the Victoria Hospital as an in-patient, after he was attacked by Kunigal Giri alias Girish, 27.
Ravi from Pipe Line Road, Mutturayaswamy Layout, Sunkadakatte and Girish from Kunigal were allegedly involved in four criminal cases in Jnanabharathi police limits. Ravi was put behind bars on July 13, while Girish was sent to Bellary jail.
Girish was brought to Parappana Agrahara on Sunday in connection with a case. When they met at the jail, an argument broke out between the two over some issues they had while they were on parole. The arguments led into a fist-fight and Ravi sustained serious injuries.
Prison staff rushed to the spot and took both of them into custody. After first aid, Ravi was shifted to Victoria Hospital.
