Contempt notice to KPTCL

G R Mohan had filed a Public Interest Litigation earlier, seeking directions to the KPTCL not to resort to load-shedding, causing intervenience to the students preparing for examinations. The then Division Bench headed by  Chief Justice J S Khehar had disposed of the petition after the financial advisor on January 24, submitted that every attempt is made to manage the load.

However, after the power utilities resorted to unscheduled load-shedding rece­ntly, Mohan issued a contempt notice against the KPTCL.
