'Give priority to quality'

Addressing the KDP Meeting held at ZP hall on Thursday, he said that taluk nodal officers must pay attention towards maintaining quality of works.

He said that the classrooms allotted under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan must be constructed at the earliest and asked the officials concerned to inspect Ballavara and Nandibattalu village classrooms, which are said to be leaking and submit a report. With regard to Amruth Mahal kaval land encroachment, the DC said that the eviction of encroached land must be taken up at the earliest and fencing around the land must be taken up under National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme .

Swine flu
The DC clarified that no cases of swine flu have been detected in the district so far. He asked the officials concerned to still go ahead spreading awareness on the disease and precautionary measures among the people and inform the people that there is no need to panic.

He instructed the health department officials to disseminate information in rural areas through posters and handbills.
