The staff of HDFC Bank on M G Road in Kolar hoisted the National Tricolour on Friday itself. It is said that the flag was hoisted with the “forethought” of avoiding coming to office for two successive days. Upon coming to know of the incident, Police rushed to the spot and got the flag lowered from the bank staff. Two persons have been taken into custody for inquiry, police said.
In another incident, the Tourism Department in Chikkaballapur unfurled the National Flag on Friday. The tricolour is hoisted at all offices in the country on Independence Day. However, the Department observed the National Day in hurry, before closing hours.
