'Engineering student committed suicide'

“We did not find any suicide note. We are yet to ascertain what drove Prateek to end his life,” said the KS Layout police. Prateek fell to death from the seventh floor of his college building on Thursday.

The post-mortem was conducted at KIMS hospital and the body handed over to parents on Friday, according to the police. Prateek, a native of Patna in Bihar, was pursuing a degree in telecommunications at the college. He attended a session in the college before committing suicide.

Fire mishap
Property worth several lakhs of rupees is feared gutted in a fire that broke out at Bamboo Bazaar in Kalasipalya on Friday morning. Short circuit is said to be the reason for the fire. No casualties have been reported.
