The ‘Brands Academy Service Excellence Awards’ were given away to more than 20 people who displayed exemplary excellence as service providers in their respective fields.

Author, activist and Member of Parliament Shashi Tharoor and his wife Sunanda Pushkar Tharoor were chief guests on the occasion. The awards were based on a comprehensive market research study and opinion surveys conducted by BIG Brands Research. Speaking on the occasion, Tharoor said that only a desire to do better than others and a drive to excel in the chosen field will get one to the top.

“Excellence does not come easy. One must outsmart the other in skill, quality and performance. An achiever must do something that others cannot do,” said Tharoor.

He made sure he shared his thoughts and exchanged a word or two with every awardee. He very patiently waited on stage as he gave away one award after another.

Among the awardees were NAP Body Studio (most innovative wellness studio), Chairman's Resort, Chola Apparels, Kidz N Brainz, Globals Technologies, eMind Technologies, Deepak Interiors, Ginseng Restaurant, Cloudnine, Sandeep S (a dentist), Kenko Reflexology and Fish Spa to mention a few.
