Police yet to begin probe on boy's drowning

The police have registered cases against the chairman of Mother Teresa English Medium School at Jalahalli, the school management and Residency Holiday Resort.
“We were busy with other work on Sunday. We are yet to begin the investigation. Names of the school chairman and resort owners are yet to be ascertained. We will begin the investigation very soon,” Sub- Inspector Maruti said.

Tejas, a class III student student drowned at the swimming pool of the resort when he entered the water. The school staff had taken the students to the resort for an excursion and the teachers were allegedly enjoying chatting  when the incident took place.

The body was handed over to the parents after post mortem at Nelamangala government hospital.

Tejas was the only son of K S Harish, an autorickshaw driver. No one from the school visited Harish’s house to express condolence. No staff from the school came to the cremation. Relatives of the deceased alleged the incident took place due to negligence of the teachers.

Man ends life

A painter allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his house on Sunday in Rajagopalnagar police limits. Yashvanth (24), a resident of Indira Priyadarshni Nagar at Laggere.

According to the police, he was married to Hemavathi a year and a half ago and it was love marriage. Differences of opinion started soon after wedding. The couple quarreled over a petty issue a couple of days ago and Hemavathi went to her parents house. Disappointed by this, he allegedly ended life, police added.
