‘Verve 2011’

St Joseph’s College of Business Administration (SJCBA) is all set to host its annual fest ‘Verve 2011’. To be held on November 10 and 11, the theme for this year’s fest is ‘Metal Economy’. The fest will encompass activities based on core and supporting functions of business management, namely, ‘Marketing’, ‘Finance’, ‘HR’, ‘Operations’, ‘IT’, ‘PR’, ‘CSR’, ‘Business Quiz’ and ‘Best Manager’. In addition, a host of fun events like the cultural, photography and debate events, as well as a competition for the best ‘Life at College’ video, have been planned this year.

The main attractions of the two-day fest are the ‘Best Manager’ and the cultural events, both of which will take place on the second day. Around 36 colleges are expected to be in attendance at the event which will take place on the college campus, located on Residency Road. As has always been, no Josephite will participate in any of the events. The college welcomes all management and degree colleges for participation. ‘Abhyuday’, a national level inter-collegiate techno-cultural fest, is being conducted by the department of Master of Computer Applications (MCA) of M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT).

Conducted as part of the golden jubilee celebrations of MSRIT, the fest starts on November 9 and goes on till November 12. It promises to enrich the knowledge of the tech-savvy students.

Some of the events of the fest are ‘Manthan, I? You? Or we? — Group Discussion’, ‘Un Minuto — JAM’, ‘Tech Labyrinth — LANed Treasure Hunt’, ‘Creation-de-site — On-spot Web Designing’, ‘Gaming — Lock n Load’, ‘Quizzing — Brain Teaser’ and ‘NaTech-ing — Technical Skit’ to name a few.
