Manasa emerges champ at U-14 chess

Out of the ten placings that were given to the participants, Yashaskara Jois and Sharan Shetty bagged the second and third place respectively. The other winners in the main category are: Jatin S N (4th place), Arun D (5th place), Pavan C (Baden Powell School, sixth place), Prajwal Shandilya (7th place), Sujan H T (8th place), Prajwal N (9th place) and Nithin S N (10th place).

Tejas Prasad, Abhishek R Patel, Tejas D S, Rushil, Pooja S Patil won the consolation prizes.
The other results are: 

U-8 category - Chaithanya Ganesh ( Ist place) Arushi Manjunath (2nd place)
U - 10 category - Ashwin J (1st place) Puja Bhat (2nd place). While special prizes were given to upcoming players from Pramati school – Cariappa (1st place), Nischith (2nd place) and Yashwanth (third place). Pratham Aditya and Sumukh won the best young players awards.

Paniraj, treasurer of Pramati Education Trust gave away the awards. On the occasion, he asked the young achievers to pursue the game more aggressively and bring laurels to city and the country. Chess helps in the overall development of a student’s intellect, he said.

Principal of Pramati Academy C S Sudarshan, Suresh, founder of Mysore Chess Academy and coordinator Nagendra were present.
