Man kills wife for refusing to switch TV channels

What made him turn a furious beast was nothing, but his forty-year-old wife Krishna Singh’s denial to switch television channel as per his demand.

Angry-stricken Dharmpal   on Tuesday evening thrashed his wife black and blue and then threw her from the balcony of the first floor of their house in Matiyari locality on the outskirts of the city, inflicting serious injuries on her.

 Dharmpal, who lost his cool after seeing Krishna breathing, hit on her head with an iron rod. 

  Though  Krishna was rushed to a nearby hospital by the neighbours,  she breathed her last. Soon Dharmpal surrendered at a police station.

According to police sources, Dharmpal, after he came home on Tuesday, asked his wife Krishna and daughter Utkarasha, who were watching a movie, to change the channel as he wanted to see some other programme.

When they asked him to wait for a minutes, Dharmpal, according to sources, thrashed Utkarsha and pushed her out of the room.  He, then gave vent to his ire over his wife which eventually ended in her death.

 Dharmpal, however, was full of remorse when he knew about his wife’s death later in the hospital.

A case of murder has been registered against him.
