<p>So much so that, the regular strollers at Kukkarahalli Lake were welcomed by the locked gates much to their surprise. It all began with leopard found to have been spotted by a security guard at Prasaranga on Hunsur road here on Thursday around 8.45 pm. <br /><br />He was having dinner at the watch post when he found the big cat near a bush. He soon alerted the police control room. According to another guard, the leopard was seen again in the wee hours but on the road beside Senate Hall in Manasagangotri.<br /><br />Following this forest officers visited the spot on Friday to collect the pug marks, if any.<br />The gates at Kukkarahalli that were closed as a precautionary measure, were finally opened after the intervention of MLA Sa Ra Mahesh.</p>
