Children's meet in December

Kids can recite poems to prose during the meet

Speaking to reporters, unit President D Manjunath said the district level convention will be held on December 12 at Bhadravathi while state level convention will be held at Shimoga on December 20 and 21. The high school students can take part in the convention. Interested should register their names by November 30.

The convention aims at identifying the talented children and providing them a platform to exhibit their talent. The district-level convention will be held at Sathyasai educational institution premises in Bhadravathi. In Shimoga, literary programmes will be held in every school in the month of November. The first programme will be started at Government girls high schools in Shimoga and Dr Amaresh Nugudoni will inaugurate the programme.

He said the children can recite poems, stories on the occasion. At the school level, the child can review any poem from his textook. He/She can speak on a prose in their textbook for five minutes. The children will also be given opportunity to speak on science and history textbooks in the school level literary programme.
